Kabul : Four Taliban militants and a policeman were killed in a clash in Zabul province of southern Afghanistan, a senior police officer said Friday.
The clash, which lasted two hours, occurred in Shinkay district Thursday night, Hakin Khan said.
Zabul has been a hotbed of Taliban insurgents, who clash with government and foreign forces frequently.
Due to rising Taliban-linked insurgency, over 1,900 people, most of whom were Taliban militants, have been killed in Afghanistan this year.
