Captain M. Anwar is appointed as Administrator of Bihar State Sunni Wakf Board

Patna: Bihar Government has appointed Group Captain M. Anwar as an administrator of Bihar State Sunni Wakf Board today. According to the notification released by the Department of Minority Welfare, Captain Anwar has appointed on this post for the next six months.

Notification also says that in the light of judgment given by Patna High Court on 12th February 2007 after joint hearing of WJC 1603/06 and 15960/04 Sunni Wakf Board is not working this time due to which it is not needed to dissolve it.

Mr. Anwar is appointed on the post of Administrator using the right achieved by article 99 of Wakf Act 1995. He is entrusted with the responsibility of making the board active and will stay on the job till it is reconstituted. Bihar Sunni Wakf Board has a non-plan annual budget of Rs. 20 Lakhs.

Mr Anwar is an M.A from Patna University and M.Ed. from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. He was the Director and Principal of International School Dammam. He had also served as Inspecting Officer of Sainik School (Indian Military School) during 1992-93.
