The court has sent them to the jail in 14 days judicial custody. 15 people are accused in this case. Dead body of Abu Talib was recovered from Tons River under Qasimabad Police Station of Ghazipur.

A lot of lives were lost in this communal violence that started on 14th October and continued for three days. The tension started in the "Bharat Milap" procession during Ramadan.

After change of Government in UP, all cases registered for Mau riots have started moving rapidly. Police have also started to round up the accused in these cases. This has prompted many to surrender themselves before the court.

Another local BJP leader Nand Lal Sahni has also surrendered before the court, sources reported.
