Olli Heinonen, the leader of a four-member delegation from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), said in Pyongyang that the cooperation his team had received from North Korea had been "excellent" during the visit Thursday and Friday to the site at Yongbyon, 100 km north of Pyongyang, according to Japan's Kyoto News agency.

The inspectors were visiting Yongbyon to make arrangements to shut the facilities down and seal it, which North Korea had promised to do in a February agreement made with the United States, China, South Korea, Japan and Russia. In return, North Korea is to receive energy and economic aid.

Heinonen, the IAEA deputy director general, said the delegation was allowed to see all the areas it wanted to at the Yongbyon site, Kyoto reported.

"We are satisfied," Heinonen said.

The IAEA team arrived Tuesday in North Korea and was expected to depart Friday.
