Eight security men injured in Pakistan grenade attack

Islamabad : A grenade attack injured at least eight security men in Pakistan's tribal region Friday, a TV channel reported.

A motorcade of the security forces came under attack near the town of Mir Ali, a major town of North Waziristan tribal region bordering Afghanistan, private Geo Television reported.

The injured soldiers were taken to a military hospital Bannu, a major city near North Waziristan.

There was no immediate official word about the incident.

The security personnel reportedly sealed the area soon after the attack and started a search for the attackers.

No group has claimed responsibility of the attack.
