Three Cameroon referees were on crashed airplane

Lagos : Three international football referees from Cameroon were among 114 passengers aboard the crashed Kenya Airways plane.

The three match officials were due to take charge of the Confederation Cup game between the Democratic Republic of Congo's TP Mazembe and Mwana Africa from Zimbabwe Sunday.

The trio was on way to Nairobi to catch a connecting flight to Kinshasa for the match.

The Boeing 737-800 on its way to Nairobi crashed Saturday near a mangrove swamp, 20 km southwest of Douala and there has been no immediate information about the fate of the 105 passengers and nine crewmembers on board.
