Bhopal, May 11: In a simple programme held at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, (BHEL), Bhopal, Rakesh Bansal, Principal Secretary for Labour, Government of Madhya Pradesh, inaugurated a revolutionary technology system in Fire Protection System developed by Safety Engineering Dept. of BHEL Bhopal in association with M/s Diaonics Automation System India (P) Ltd., Nasik.
The state of the art Wireless Fire Alarm System, the first of its kind in the country is established in BHEL Bhopal. This is an early warning system working on the principle of Radio Frequency communication, eliminating cumbersome cabling practice, leading to “Zero Failure�.
Bansal graced the occasion as chief guest whereas R.K. Singh, Executive Director BHEL, Bhopal, presided over the function. R.K. Soni Dy. Director (IH & S) Govt. of M.P., General Managers and other senior officials of BHEL Bhopal were present on the occasion. Bansal formally inaugurated the system at BHEL Fire Station where a live demonstration was given by the Engineers and established the credibility of the system..
Singh in his presidential address informed that in the first phase the system has been installed in vulnerable areas like TRM Test Plant, UHV Lab, IMM Test Plant, LEM Test Plant, TAM Test Plant and Print Room, and the other areas are to be covered in the second phase which is in progress.
The system has been developed, trial tested on Pilot scale and then thoroughly evaluated by a team of Engineers from BHEL Bhopal. This system is also got tested at reputed Test labs like “Defence Research and Development Organisation�, Govt. of India for its effectiveness, speed of response and performance. The result obtained from such reputed labs was excellent and established its credibility.
It was submitted for its state of art work, innovativeness and indigenisation for Award competition held by Council of Science and Technology Govt. of India. The Govt. of India has vested this technology and accredited with an award “As one of the Best Technology�.
Earlier, Dr. S.A. Pillai introduced the technology developed jointly by BHEL and M/s Diaonics Automation and a detailed presentation was made by Prasanth J. Shiledar Director M/s Diaonics Automation.
