New York, May 18 (IANS) Sahara India Pariwar, the over $10 billion Indian business conglomerate, has launched a single window service platform for non-resident Indians (NRIs) in the US for accessing over 60 support and care services for themselves and their families or friends in India.
Romi Datta, CEO of the programme called Sahara Care House, visited New York May 14-16 for the US launch.
Sahara Care is about “taking the emotions, love and care of the Indian Americans, swim through the Atlantic Ocean, ride over Europe and Asia and deliver them to their families and friends in India”, Datta told IANS.
The services rendered by Sahara Care House, an emotionally-driven commercial venture, range from medical emergencies to home improvement, investment information to groceries and gifts delivery. Services are rendered in 197 cities across India through 3,500 ‘relationship ambassadors’ and 249 Sahara Care offices.
Datta, who also heads the international business division of the Sahara India Pariwar, has earlier managed international launches of Sahara Care House in Britain and Singapore.
