Srinagar : People of Jammu and Kashmir have launched a campaign to register their complaints and to make people aware of the activities which spoiled the lives of innocent girls in and out side the valley.
The members of self styled FOJAK group who recently have started sending mails to people of the state and abroad informing them about the activities of whom they called ‘Lustful’ youth and quoting an incident of one of the victim.
News Agency of Kashmir got the same and the mail received by the group contains an instance of one of the Kashmiri Pundit girl who according to mail received was deceived by on of the youth in Jammu and Kashmir.
A general survey of the Kashmiri marriages reveals that out of 10 marriages two fell apart. The statistics are alarming and the group is all set to launch a movement for the fresh amendments in ‘Hindu-Laws’.
As per the mailed statement, Sameer (name Changed) reached Jammu by air. He was received by his parents and friends at the airport. He wore tight jeans and west side t-shirt. Next day a Galla party was organized at one of the posh hotels of Jammu. Girl’s parents and relatives were present to welcome Sameer who had reached from Mumbai after a gap of two years. Sameer and Anshul (name changed) had given their consent by exchanging their photographs and talking over phone just 6 months back.
At the time of engagement Sameer was serving with a MNC bank on very senior position and had remained out of the country for few years also. The jubilant parents and relatives celebrated the occasion with fervor. Engagement ceremony ended with the exchange of rings.
Marriage was solemnized after 6 months and Anshul accompanied Sameer to Mumbai. They remained there for one year and Sameer was offered expatriate assignment to Australia where he had remained for 2 years earlier and would keep on visiting the country off and on. Anshul shifted back to Jammu and resided with In-laws. She delivered a female child.
Sameer didn’t come to Jammu and one fine day Anshul’s parents came to know that Sameer had two kids before this marriage at Australia. He had married a girl from Gujrat.
Anshul’s Father died after some time probably from the shock of her Daughter’s fate.
