New Delhi : Senior Supreme Court judge, Justice Arijit Pasayat, met with a road accident Thursday evening right opposite the Congress headquarters in the heart of Delhi. He escaped unhurt, the police officials said.
Justice Pasayat’s vehicle was hit by a car while he was on his way home from court.
According to Joint Commissioner of Police (New Delhi Range) Ajay Kashyap, the accident occurred around 4.30 p.m. opposite the Congress headquarters on 24 Akbar Road. A private car hit his vehicle from behind.
“Justice Pasayat’s vehicle was damaged, but he himself escaped unhurt,” Kashyap told IANS.
The apex court secretary general V.K. Jain confirmed the information.
The police said they were looking into the matter and a case has been registered at the Tughlak Road police station.
