The stamps bear various pictures of Bait-ul-Moqaddas (Jerusalem) in Palestine, said the curator of the section Mohammad-Hossein Yazdinejad, adding that the stamps had been issued in twenty countries including Iran, Senegal, Nigeria, Somalia, Libya, Bangladesh and Cyprus.

He also made known that the collection of stamps had been kindly donated to Astan-e Qods by Nader Khair al-Din Abuljabin, a Palestinian citizen residing in the United States.

“The stamp and banknote section of the Astan-e Qods Razavi museum holds an exhibition annually to commemorate World Qods Day. This section of the museum overall houses 18,000 stamps from 180 countries which are exhibited to mark various occasions,” he explained.

World Qods Day has its own features in Palestine. Every year, the Palestinians alongside other Mulim brothers take to streets to make the voice of a wronged nation heard by the world.

This year the Palestinians turned in droves in the streets in the vicinity of the al-Aqsa mosque unlike the expectations and marked the day alongside other Muslim brothers worldwide.
