Under the agreement, Patni will become The Carphone Warehouse’s technology partner for developing next-generation systems for the latter’s global telecom and retail operations.

These services will be delivered across all its European locations by Patni’s global consultants and also through its global delivery centres in India.

“In today’s world, customers want innovation and agility coupled with operational excellence and cost leverage. This contract creates an opportunity for both firms to drive sustaining mutual value,” Mrinal Sattawala, chief operating officer, Patni said in a statement.

Patni’s telecom business contributes 14.1 percent to its revenues. The company also recently acquired Europe-based telecommunications consulting services company Logan-Orviss International.
