Miami : Arjun Atwal, in danger of missing the cut, was unable to start his second round as heavy overnight rain that continued through the day led to a suspension of play at the Nationwide Tour’s Miccosukee Championship, the final full-field event of the season.
The second round finally got underway at 2.30 p.m. Friday, but it was short-lived.
Atwal carded a two-over 73 and was lying way down in 89th place.
When play was called off, Marc Turnesa who was four-under through nine holes, held the tournament lead at eight-under-par. First-round leader Dustin Bray, through six holes, was one shot back, while Jon Mills, through 10 holes, was three behind.
