Gaza : The Israeli tanks and bulldozers, which invaded central Gaza Strip on Thursday’s predawn, had pulled out in the night and the military operation had killed three Palestinians and injured eight others, witnesses and medics said.
The witnesses said about ten Israeli tanks and armored bulldozers, backed by helicopters, rolled about one kilometer into the eastern part of al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza Strip.
After the Israeli forces left the area, a body of a Palestinian militant was found on the ground with gunshots on the chest and head. The body was removed by an ambulance to a nearby clinic.
Earlier in the day, a 22-year-old young man was shot by Israeli soldiers in the head, paramedic said, adding that the young man died shortly after he arrived at el-Aqsa Hospital in central Gaza.
The residents said that dozens of Israeli soldiers stormed Palestinian homes in the area, and detained about 12 people. The detainees were taken to a nearby military camp for interrogation.
They also said that Israeli bulldozers worked all day leveling the ground and razing trees in the farms. The Israeli army said its operation was aimed at arresting suspected militants.
Palestinian militants clashed with invading Israeli troops, andtwo Israeli soldiers were lightly injured, according to Israeli Radio.
In the other incident, medics and witnesses said that a Palestinian teen was killed after an Israeli army bulldozer crushed him.
Mo’aweya Hassanein, chief of the emergency department under the health ministry of Hamas’ self-styled government, said eight Palestinians were also injured during Israel’s military operation, including two militants in serious conditions.
