“This story is totally false. It’s the fruit of ill will and does not merit a response,” Syrian Information Minister Muhsen Bilal was quoted as saying.

According to London’s The Sunday Times, Israeli commando forces seized nuclear material believed to belong to the DPRK during a raid before an air strike on Sept. 6.

“The Sunday Times is a serious newspaper, however it has peddled an Israeli story invented about the Israeli aggression against Syria,” Bilal said.

On Sept. 6, Israeli aircraft were reportedly breached Syria’s airspace and dropped ammunition on some targets.

Syrian defense forces confirmed the violation by Israel, saying it opened fire on the invaded Israeli aircraft and repelled them.

However, some media reports said that Israeli aircraft flew into northern Syria to bomb a nuclear facility, which was a cooperation between Syria and the DPRK.

In response, Syria flatly denied nuclear cooperation with the DPRK while made it clear that it reserves the right to respond to the Israeli violation of its airspace.

Meanwhile, the DPRK also denied nuclear cooperation with Syria. Israel has maintained an official silence on this matter.
