Mourinho back home, prepares for comeback

Lisbon, Sep 28 (Xinhua) Jose Mourinho arrived in native Portugal after his exit as manager of English Premier League club Chelsea, with the intention of resting for some time to get ready to return to business.

“I am going to prepare my return (to football) as best as possible. I do not know if it will be in a week, a month, or a year,” Mourhino said in a statement published by the Potruguese press Friday.

“I want to live away from football now. I want to live family life and do some things I have not been able to do lately,” Mourinho had said on arrival at Lisbon’s Portela airport late Wednesday night.

“I will be somewhat absent from football but I am obviously going to be in touch with the game. I will be in touch with my native country’s league, but from the outside and calmly,” he added.

Mourinho was London-based Chelsea’s manager since 2004, but parted ways last Thursday after falling out with Russian owner Roman Abramovich.
