“The British parliamentarians and their Tibetan counterparts will discuss what best can be done by either side for the restoration of the human rights situation in Tibet, protection of the fragile Tibetan environment, and finding a lasting solution to the issue of Tibet,” a spokesman of the Tibetan government-in exile said Saturday.

During their five-day stay the delegates will meet the Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama.

A 18-member Italian delegation is currently visiting Dharamsala from Sep 26-30.

The delegates are also scheduled to meet all the top Tibetan dignitaries of the Central Tibetan Administration, including Kalon Tripa Samdhong Rinpoche, speaker, deputy speaker, the members of ‘Kashag’ and the members of the Tibetan parliament-in-exile.

They will interact with various Tibetan non-governmental organisations and visit schools, monasteries, and other institutions of the exile community in the region.
