They were detained in Rakai village following the clues provided by those arrested in the past one week and on the basis of telephone call details.

The police detained them while looking for SIMI activist Mohammad Irfan, who is absconding since 2000. All those detained have been remanded to judicial custody.

“Irfan, who was granted bail by the high court after his detention in 2000, stayed in Rakai for a long time. We are looking for him and his associates in the village, if any,” Narsinghpur Superintendent of Police A. Sai Manohar told IANS by telephone.
