Mumbai : The Indian equities market ended the day in the green with a key index going up by more than 400 points in the first trading day of the week.
The 30-share benchmark index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Sensitive Index (Sensex), opened at 15,390.15 points and notched a high of 15,851.88 before closing at 15,757.08 points. It went up by 413.96 points at the day’s close or 2.70 percent.
The S&P Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), which opened at 4,631.35 points, closed at 4,761.20 after touching the day’s high of 4,798.55. It gained 114.20 points or 2.46 percent.
