Haryana signs deal with NHAI for Delhi-Rohtak highway

Chandigarh : The Haryana government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) for constructing a six-lane Delhi-Rohtak highway.

The project would cost Rs.4.87 billion ($122 million) and would be completed within the next 30 months, Haryana Public Works Department Minister Ajay Singh Yadav said Tuesday.

Yadav said the Delhi-Rohtak project would involve six-laning of the road 63 km long, and construction of 16 flyovers and three railway road-over-bridges.

He added that a 16 km long bypass would be constructed at Bahadurgarh town along the highway and a 23-km long bypass would be made at Rohtak.
