Ahmedabad : The Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC) will be organizing an India pavilion at an international pumps exhibition in Singapore in July in order to make inroads into the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region.
The July 2-4 Pumps & Systems Asia 2008 exhibition is a platform for the engineering industry to locate manufacturers of pumps, valves, fittings, piping systems and compressors, according to a EEPC circular to exporters.
The council said: “The exhibition is an excellent opportunity for manufacturers to demonstrate their product range. They will also get a whole spectrum of information, offering maximum exposure before the largest gathering of interested visitors in the whole ASEAN region.”
The products to displayed at the exhibition are air compressors, chemical processing equipment, control systems, environmental management equipment, gas compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, instrumentation, motion control pipes and tubes, pumps and systems, valves and piping, waste water treatment systems and water treatment systems.
ASEAN is one of India’s major trading partners. India’s exports to the region have grown from US $4.62 billion in 2002-03 to US $ 12.61 billion in 2006-07.
