Tehran : The Venezuelan Ambassador to Tehran Arturo Anibal Gallegos said on Saturday that Iran-Venezuela Joint Economic Commission Meeting is to be held in Caracas next week to discuss bilateral agreements.
He told that the two-day joint commission to be held at the level of foreign ministers will be started on April 21st.
The joint commission is to follow up implementation of agreements already signed between the two countries, he said.
Asked whether Venezuelan President has planned to visit Iran, the ambassador said that Hugo Chavez considers Iran as his home and may have at any time an imminent trip to Iran.
The Iranian and Venezuelan presidents are to discuss expansion of mutual cooperation on nuclear programs, he said.
On marking Iran’s National Nuclear Day, he said designation of such occasion is source of pride and happiness for Iranians.
Meanwhile concerning the Iran-Venezuela joint oil-gas fund, the ambassador said the fund possess an initial credit of about 1 billion and 200 million dollars. Iran and Venezuela has establish a common saving fund to help expand oil and gas cooperation with African countries, he pointed out.
Iran is to coordinate the activities of the joint fund, he said.
On prospects of economic cooperation between the two countries, he said Venezuela is satisfied with economic cooperation with Iran whose benefits are beyond expectations.
