According to the Information and Media Head office of the Foreign Ministry, pointing out that some British Government agents had close cooperation with US intelligence officials during the course of the illegal arrest of Mr. Tajik – who is sentenced to be sent under arrest to the United States and put to be on trial there — Seyyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini said, “It is a shame for the British that their national sovereignty is breached by UN intelligence officers.”

Hosseini added, “To show his objection to lack of independence of the British Judiciary System, Mr. Tajik does not even intend to present another appeals request to the British House of the Lords, and since his health conditions are deteriorating and Iran’s numerous calls in that respect have remained unheeded, covering the entire economic and psychological losses due to sending him to US should be up to the British Judiciary System.”

The spokesman of Iran’s diplomacy administration referring to the moves made by the Foreign Ministry in that respect, said, “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the very beginning started comprehensive efforts at judiciary level by employing best lawyers with experience in political files.

He added, “Such measures included meetings at highest possible levels, including our country’s Foreign Minister’s phone talks with his British counterpart, visit of an IRI delegation of London and their meeting with British Foreign Office and Prosecutor officials, and constant meetings and issuance of notes aimed at his release from prison, or at least an end to the illegal severe limitations imposed against him under arrest.”

The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman said, “The IRI Ministry of Foreign Affairs spare not effort aimed at avoiding the implementation of the issued unjust verdict, and we will still try our best aimed at acquiring Mr. Tajik’s acquittal verdict.

Hosseini finally asked the British Government not to permit that country’s Judiciary System to play the role of a toy in the hands of the US security officials, and to reject their illegitimate demand by annulling the issued unjust verdict to save the remainder of the British Judiciary System’s prestige and independence.
