The participants will look at a proposal from the general secretary of the Arab League Amro Musa and give their opinions, said the French attache Andre Parant, cited by the Lebanese newspaper

The Arab League initiative foresees immediately electing the president, founding a national unity government and reforming the Electoral Law.

The meeting will take place parallel to the Foreign Affairs Ministers Conference of Iraq neighboring countries that will also take place in Kuwait.

For more than a year Lebanon has been undergoing a political crisis in which over nine political figures have died.

The situation reached a climax when on November 24 ex president Emile Lahud gave up his post when his term of office expired.

Since that time the presidential seat has been empty due to differences between the opposition and the parliamentary majority to elect a successor.
