The official, who asked not to be named, told IRNA Friday that the aim of Heinonen visit to Tehran is holding talks to promote cooperation between Iran and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The official did not deny the possibility of talks on purported studies, but underlined that upon Iran’s viewpoint the issue has ended and Tehran had presented its evaluation on it.

In his 2-day visit to Tehran, Heinonen is accompanied by Director for safeguards operations Herman Nackaerts.

Head of Iranian delegation in the talks will be Deputy head of Supreme National Security Council in international affairs Javad Vaeidi.

In the framework of agreement with IAEA (Modality) Tehran had answered all questions and remaining ambiguities about its peaceful nuclear activities and also had presented its evaluation on purported studies.

The US government, before the publication of Mohammad ElBaradei’s report on February 22, 2008, presented new claims about Iran’s peaceful nuclear program to challenge ElBaradei’s report and the positive cooperation between Iran and IAEA.
