Kabul : A district police chief and three more people suffered injuries as their vehicle struck a roadside bomb in southeastern Afghanistan on Saturday.
The bomb explosion took place in Gorbaz district of Khost province this morning, district chief Akbar Zadran said.
The injured were rushed to hospital in the Khost City, capital of the province.
The district chief said the bomb was planted by Taliban, but the militants have not issued a comment so far.
Roadside bombings are the most lethal weapon used by the anti-government Taliban in Afghanistan against Afghan and foreign troops. Common citizen usually fall victim to such bombs, which are also called the “indiscriminate killers.”
