Jordan: PM meets European parliamentary delegation

Amman : Jordan Prime Minister Nadir Dahabi discussed Sunday with a European parliamentary delegation, currently on a visit to Jordan means of enhancing cooperation between Jordan and EU in the various domains.

Dahabi noted to the support presented by EU to Jordan in the last few years through the Euro-Mediterranean partnership program, which contributed to implementing many developmental and service projects.

The prime minister briefed the delegation on his government’s reform and development programs and plans in the political, economic and social domains.

The premier also briefed the delegation on the efforts exerted by King Abdullah to move forward the peace process and support negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis to establish the viable and independent Palestinian state.

Dahabi said that Jordan attaches great importance for the positive European role in supporting negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis to achieve just and everlasting peace in the region.

For their part, members of the delegation hailed the Jordanian role to support peace efforts in the region, as well as its moderate policy.

They also expressed the EU keenness to boost ties with Jordan.
