Palestinian president condemns “Israeli massacre”

Ramallah : Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas condemned on Monday “the Israeli massacre” that took the lives of seven Palestinians including four children, members of a single family.

The Palestinian news agency, Wafa, quoted Abbas as saying in remarks he made upon arrival in the Jordanian capital coming from Cairo, “This aggression will not serve efforts that have been exerted to enforce a truce and will obstruct the peace process.” The president called for “calm to spare the Palestinian people perils of war and annihilation.” These Palestinians died in an Israeli incursion in the north of Gaza Strip early today. The children were killed with artillrey fire that hit their house.
