Amena Al-Abed Al-Jalil told KUNA that she would cast her vote in the scheduled polls on May 17 for the first time, and because of this, she was keen on choosing a figure who would adopt her constituency’s affairs seriously.

On prospects of electing a former MP, Al-Jalil said she would determine whether the ex-parliamentarian had a record of achievements in the sectors of health, education, or whether he (she) played a role in hiking the salaries or softening the loans.

As to candidates with shallow experience in politics, she will examine their resume and potentials, freely and without any third party influence.

Another eligible voter, Hamad Al-Zamami, said his participation in the polls would be an opportunity to express his opion.

Al-Zamami tours the electoral campaigns headquarters every day to closely examine manifestos of the lecturing nominees.

This national said he would not vote for the former parliamentarians, blaming them for inciting problems and crises, and that he would choose young figures “for new blood would enrich the parliament with a new spirit.” Another voter, Muna Abul Hassan, said she was keen on attending electoral rallies of the nominees in her district to get a clear and accurate impression about their thoughts. She indicated that she would check their educational levels and achievements in their lives.

Abul Hassan said she would vote for a woman nominee, provided that she has a strong personality, educated, with good talents for dialogue.

Laden Al-Abdel Razzak has echoed identical thoughts, but she indicates that she does not take words of the nominees for granted.

And Ali Boushehri sounded even more cautious, saying that the next parliament would be identical to the previous in terms of creating political crises.
