Gaza : The Israeli mini-cabinet for security and political affairs will hold later Wednesday, in Jerusalem, a meeting to evaluate the security situation in Gaza Strip, chaired by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Israeli local radio reported.
“The mini-cabinet will mainly discuss the security situation in Gaza Strip, namely the undeclared truce and the repeated Palestinian missile attacks,” it added.
Olmert Tuesday promised the residents of the Israeli settlement of Sderot, which witnesses frequent Palestinian shelling, to take serious measures in this regard.
Officials at the meeting are going to review an Israeli intelligence report which accuses Hamas of orchestrating a military operation to be executed in Israel by next week, on the 60th anniversary of establishing Israel.
