Noida : The Noida police have recovered the credit card of Sheeba Thomas, a former air hostess who was gunned down by criminals here earlier this month. A third accused in the case has, meanwhile, surrendered before a city court.
The main accused, Mukesh alias Mukhia, during police interrogation confessed that he had hidden Sheeba’s credit card in bushes at an abandoned plot in sector 37, Gajendra Shrotriya, station offficer of sector 20 police station, said Wednesday.
Mukhia took out the credit card, which bore Sheeba’s name, from the bushes and handed it over to the police, he said.
Sheeba, a former airhostess with Virgin Atlantic airlines, was murdered by motorcycle-borne assailants around 11.20 p.m. April 8 in sector 31 while she was returning home from a party in her car.
Mukhia was nabbed April 18 after his accomplice Lacchi, who was held earlier, revealed the names of others involved in the crime. Mukhia confessed that he and his three accomplices had killed her when she tried to fend off their attempt to rob her.
