Pakistan PM condemns attack on Indian embassy

Colombo : Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani Saturday condemned the suicide bombing at the Indian embassy in Kabul that had killed some 50 people last month.

“I condemn the attack on the Indian embassy in Kabul,” Gilani told the 15th SAARC summit here, making no mention of Indian charges that Pakistan’s intelligence was to blame for the devastating July 7 attack.

Gilani went on to say that Pakistan had suffered enormously because of terrorism, losing former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, who was killed in an attack in December last year.

“We need to fight terrorism individually and collectively,” he said.
