Indo-Asian News Services (IANS) said Germany’s Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach and Indian Counterpart Suresh Kalmadi signed the accord in Beijing.

Germany will help India set up Olympic academies and boost junior sports at the time India readies to host the 3rd Commonwealth Youth Games from October 12-18, 2008 in Pune.

Olympic sports are way behind cricket in India but Abhinav Bindra win in Beijing in 10m air rifle single may help boost the project.
