The politburo in a statement issued here said it strongly disapproved the cabinet decision not to call the monsoon session of parliament, which should have been convened Aug 11.

“Instead, parliament is convening from Oct 17 to Nov 20. This means that there will not be any winter session either,” the statement said.

“The UPA government is, thus, abdicating its accountability to parliament especially when serious developments like the disturbances in Jammu and Kashmir, Orissa etc are taking place,” the politburo said.
