Patna: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has decided to honor Firaque Ahmad, District Magistrate of Kishanganj for fair conduction of annual examination of class 10th in the district in March 2008.
Bihar School Examination Board conducts Secondary School Examination twice every year i.e. Annual/Supplementary examinations. The Annual examination is normally conducted in the month of February/March. Talking to TwoCircles.net Anup Kumar Sinha, secretary of the board, said that Kishanganj has been given grade ‘A’ for conduction of fair examination. Credit for this goes to the DM who sincerely and strictly implemented the guidelines for the examination provided by the board.
No report of irregularities and using of unfair means in the examination was found from Kishanganj. Since DM of a district is the controller of examination for the whole district the board has decided to give him award for his commitment to his duty.
People of all sections of the society have welcomed this decision heartily. Expressing his happiness on this decision Mr Kalimuddin, famous social worker and president of Lok Jan Shakti Party, Kishanganj, congratulated Firaque Ahmad and said that a person posted on any post is not recognized by his religion or caste, he is recognized by his post and chair. On contrary Firaque Ahmad has made his recognition with his excellence and good work as a successful and honest administrator.
Kalim further added that Firaque Ahmad is a very soft hearted and generous person but on the other hand he is a very strict, honest and impartial officer who does not ever compromise with principle.
Kamta Prasad, Principal, National School, Kishangaj, said: “Firaque Ahmad is a perfect man for this award. As far as I know the DM no doubt he is an extraordinary personality. His method of functioning is very affective,” he said.
Before assuming office of the DM of Kishanganj, Firaque Ahmad was the chairman of Bihar Text Book Publishing Corporation. He made his presence felt there with his honesty, punctuality and as a dynamic administrator.
