The Delhi State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, headed by Justice J.D.Kapoor, told the travel company to pay Rs.30,000 to Prakash Gupta and his wife.

According to Gupta, the travel company did not inform them of the correct details of the London-Frankfurt flight it booked for them, resulting in the couple not getting an additional day’s stay in London according to the itinerary they were given before their departure on the tour.

Gupta sought the travel company reimburse him the expenses for the one day journey as well as refund of the entire tour charges including that for his wife, besides compensation of Rs.150,000 and other charges.

However, the commission fixed a compensation of Rs.25,000 besides Rs. 5,000 as cost of litigation.
