Bangalore: Popular Front of India has supported Union Minister A. R. Antulay’s demand for special investigation into the death of Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad chief Hemant Karkere and two other top police officers during 26/11 Mumbai serial attacks.
Popular Front of India General Secretary E. M. Abdul Rahiman said: “Facts pointed out by Mr. Antulay as reasons for his demand are prima-facie valid.” As the special investigation would bring to light the killers of Mr. Karkare, it makes doubtful the real motives of BJP and Shiv Sena members who created noisy scenes in the Parliament and Maharashtra Assembly over Antulay’s Karkare death remarks, Rahiman said.
“It would be surrender to Hindutva forces if the resignation rendered by Mr. Antulay under pressure is accepted by Congress leadership,” Rahiman said.
