Power station official shot dead in Bihar

Patna : An official of the Barauni Thermal Power Station was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Bihar Monday, the police said.

Sudhir Kumar, a cashier at the Barauni Thermal Power Station in Begusarai district was killed by unidentified assailants Monday morning, the police said.

“Kumar was killed at his residence when he was preparing to go to office,” police officials said.

As the news of Kumar’s murder spread, angry officials along with locals blocked the national highway near the power station and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.

Barauni is about 110 km from Patna.
