High Court cancels appointment of director IIT-Madras

Chennai : The Madras High Court Tuesday set aside the appointment of the director of the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in the Tamil Nadu capital.

Judge K. Chandru was hearing a petition challenging M.S. Anand’s appointment as director of the IIT-Madras. The petition was filed by E. Muralidharan, an alumnus of the institute.
