Gaza : Fatah’s Aqsa Martyrs Brigades claimed responsibility for Monday’s attack on a shopping mall in Demona, southern Israel, and said two suicide bombers executed the operation, their starting point being Ramallah.
In a preliminary statement, the Israeli premier threatened to hold the attackers accountable and warned of grave consequences of any attack on Israeli interests and security.
Israeli sources earlier said it is highly probable the attack was carried out by two people. A first bomber managed to blow his explosive belt up but a second, according to media reports, was shot dead before he fulfilled his mission.
The Israeli Army has banned the media from the site and many sources confirmed tight cordon on the area.
