Brisbane : India have a far superior record against Sri Lanka on neutral grounds, but both teams are equally matched in their last 10 One-Day Internationals (ODI) as they go into the Commonwealth Bank triangular series here Tuesday.
India have won 15 of the 24 matches they have played against Sri Lanka, who have won eight, with one match ending in a no result.
Sri Lanka, however, have a much better record against India at home. The islanders have won 19 of the 34 matches and India just nine. Six ODIs have ended in no results. Conversely, India have a better record on their own soil, winning 25 of the 37 matches and Sri Lanka winning 10. Two matches produced no results.
Overall, India have a 51.58 success rate for winning 49 of the 95 ODIs. Sri Lanka have won 37 matches and nine have ended in ‘no results’.
