Delivering the presidential address at a national meeting of Muslim religious leadership in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh on 4th February, Maulana Qasimi condemned the anti-madrasa propaganda while elaborating on the sacrifices of Ulema in the war of India’s independence. The meeting was called to discuss terrorism in the context of well-planned anti-madrasa and anti-Islam campaign across the country, particularly in Uttar Pradesh.

In his inaugural speech, Maulana Syed Mohammad Rabey Hasani Nadvi, president of All India Muslim Personal Law Board and Nazim of Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulema, shed light on the character of Muslim Ulema in the backdrop of mutual relations between Muslims and non-Muslims. He asked Muslims to influence non-Muslims by their character. He also warned against the dangers of the Zionist conspiracy against Muslims across the globe. He came down heavily on the trend to attach terrorist tag to entire Muslim community.
