In a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Congo Li Shuli, the official said Africa sees a secure strategy for reciprocal development in its association with China.

Itoua also said the Republic of Congo has plenty of resources that should be interesting to Chinese investors.

“China found imaginative mechanisms to implement a system that allows it to create resources today and finance its projects tomorrow, without expecting external help,” he said.

The diplomat highlighted his country’s commitment to reinforcing cooperation with the Congo and explained that the strategic association between China and Africa is based on mutual trust.

Shuli stated that construction of the Imboulou hydroelectric station emerged among the issues in the meeting with the Congolese minister.

“We are satisfied with our cooperation and the progress made in those works,” said the Chinese government representative, and stated that China would give special attention to that project.
