New Delhi : The Supreme Court Thursday issued notices to Uttar Pradesh’s former chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav and the state’s former development council chairman Amar Singh on a plea to initiate contempt of court proceedings against them.
The notices were issued by a bench headed by Chief Justice K.G. Balakrishnan on the petition by advocate K.T.S Tulsi and Prashant Bhushan alleging that the two Samajwadi Party leaders had tried to influence an Allahabad High Court judge in their favour.
