Islamabad : Tremors of mild intensity Thursday morning jolted several parts of northern Pakistan, where a giant quake in 2005 killed more than 73,000 people.
According to Metrological Department, tremors of magnitude 4.0 were felt in Mansehra and Balakot districts and other suburban areas.
The epicenter was 200 kilometers northeast of Hazara Division, it said. No material or human loss reported.
An earthquake of 7.6 magnitude killed more than 73,000 people, wounded over 75,000 and displaces 2.5 million others on October 8, 2005.
Though, the routine life has long returned to normal, reconstruction is still going on in these districts.
