Bhopal : The Jabalpur district collectorate in Madhya Pradesh has won the National Golden Icon Award for its Tele-Bhugtan or telephonic payment service.
The award, meant for the innovative usage of technology in e-governance, was conferred Thursday at the 11th National Conference on e-Governance at Panchakula in Haryana.
The Tele-Bhugtan service was started under a public-private participation plan in June 2006, an official told IANS. Bills based on IVRS can be paid through the Tele-Bhugtan service by using any telephone.
