275 girls married at mass marriage in Haryana

Panchkula (Haryana) : As many as 275 girls from economically weak families from Haryana were Monday married at a mass marriage ceremony here held by various social organizations and government agencies.

The Ambala division administration, Aggarwal Kalyan Sangh and the Ambala Red Cross Committee jointly conducted the mass marriage ceremony.

The ceremony was conducted according to Hindu religious rites at the Parade Ground here in the presence of Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation Selja.

The married couples were blessed on the occasion by various dignitaries and also given household gifts by social organizations to help them start their married life.
