Mumbai : Bangalore-based Subex Ltd, which provides open source solutions, Tuesday said they have successfully upgraded a roaming fraud management system of a Romanian telecom service provider.
Declining to name the Romanian company, a spokesperson of Subex told IANS from Bangalore that the upgraded system meets norms set by the global system for mobile communications (GSM) association.
Sudeesh Yezhuvath, CEO of Subex Ltd, said: “The service provider will receive a wide range of advantages with Nikira V6.1 designed to protect telecom operators. It enables the operators to detect and investigate frauds to help prevent revenue leakage.”
In 2003, Subex had bagged a contract from leading Romanian GSM operator Connex for providing a revenue assurance solution. Connex is a trademark of Mobifon, which became the first company in Romania to launch a GSM network in 1997.
