San Jose (California) : India’s Rohan Bopanna and his Pakistani partner Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi bowed out in the first round of the SAP Open after losing in straight sets to Max Mirnyi of Belarus and Jamie Murray of Britain here.
Mirnyi and Murray, seeded third, defeated the unseeded Indo-Pak pair 6-4, 6-4 Wednesday.
They will now meet Belgian Steve Darcis and Kristof Vliegen in the next round. The Belgian duo beat Jan-Michael Gambill and Sam Warburg of US 2-6, 7-6 (7-8), 10-8 in the opening round.
