Meshkin-Mehr told IRNA that the international community and world public opinion will make judgment about the newly-issued report, which proved the fact that Iran has cooperated with IAEA on its peaceful nuclear program in a transparent manner.

The report of the agency, which is the only authorized and specialized international body in the field of nuclear energy, endorses the correct and reliable stance of Iran in this respect, he added.

IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei issued the new report within the framework of agreements with Iran in which he verified that there were no ambiguities over Tehran’s peaceful nuclear drive, and that all six questions of the agency have been addressed by the country.

Referring to the US reaction to the report, he said that certain countries, which raised allegations against Iran’s civilian nuclear program and attempted to exert pressures on the Islamic nation, have been disarmed and have nothing to say.

According to the IAEA report, their allegations are baseless and unfounded, he said, noting that these countries have no more pretext to maintain their wrong attitude.

Iran has pursued acceptable behavior and has had satisfactory cooperation with IAEA within the framework of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), he added.

ElBaradei submitted his 11-page report on Iran’s cooperation with the UN atomic watchdog to the 35-member Board of Governors in Vienna on Friday.
